Are You Coachable?

Over the years, I have met so many entrepreneurs across every major industry to include medical, construction, information technology, automotive, and government. One of the common denominators or character traits that I’ve noticed about each one of those people…is that they all have a go to person or a team of go to people.

They consistently reach out to people who are made up of mentors, trusted advisers, coaches and even tutors!  The other common denominator that I noticed about coachable entrepreneurs is that they can take constructive feedback, process that information, and make quick adjustments that would normally paralyze a person who has difficulty hearing the truth about an area of their life or business that needs to be addressed and improved.  That brings me to today’s topic…are you coachable?

I’m going to take a guess and say that yes you are coachable…especially if you have already downloaded the 90 Day Start Up checklist.  If that answer is a definite yes…CONGRATULATIONS because you are a part of a growing number of self motivated entrepreneurs that seek information on how to improve your life, your business and any other area that you want to improve.

Most coaches know when the time has come for you to move on and start working with more specialized experts that can take you to the next level.  It’s kinda like what happens in high school where the basketball coach also happens to be your history teacher as well.  This person is probably one of the first real coaches that you have encountered in your life besides your parents.  He or she can recognize, raw and unique talent for the most part, but even they get to a point when they know that it’s time to link you up with a subject matter expert.  But just like any other group of advisers, there will always be a few self serving opportunist out there that can only see dollar signs when they see you approaching.

My goal is to help you fine tune, streamline, and organize your startup so that you can move forward with a sense of confidence in knowing that you are building your enterprise on a solid foundation.   As an entrepreneur, I understand the importance of being coachable, which is why I take every opportunity to learn from industry leaders and other entrepreneurs who have taken the time to show me how to harness my strengths. And like many of you, I am a continuous work in progress!  I had to learn how to be coachable, because It’s one thing to hear or see what your coach is saying, but it’s a whole new ball game, when it’s time to execute and move forward with a plan.

I quickly learned that the most difficult part of being coachable, is executing on the lessons that I learned!  I’m very grateful to be able to communicate on a daily basis with my mentors, which is why I am here today sharing what I have learned “real time” with you. If you haven’t decided on a business idea that you want to pursue, then may I suggests that you look into community focused business models.  These are what I call business strategy sessions and I’ve done the research on over 20 of them that I think you mind find useful.  I created them so that you could plug in your zipcode and county to see if those business ideas would work in your local community.  They are the low hanging fruit opportunities that we often pass up on because it seems too easy to be true…or profitable.   There will be hundreds of people who will down load the 90 Day Start Up checklist and with a little help, they will be able to customize a plan that they can build on and thrive!  My number one goal is to share all of the tools and resources that I have in my toolbox, in order to get you to the next level and on your journey to continuous success!
