Depending on who you are will greatly influence your response. For example, if you were the kind of kid who colored inside the lines in kindergarten and received golden stars for raising your hand at the appropriate time, then change of any kind may have caused you grief, unless you had ample notice that change was coming. However, if you’re the kind of person who always lived in times of uncertainty then change is pretty much a way of life…something you come to expect at any given moment. I fall into that second category. Serving 10 years in the military also conditioned me to be flexible during times of uncertainty and change. Change in leadership, location, and your assigned responsibilities are the norm in the typical military environment.
Over the past 5 years, I have spent a tremendous amount to time being flexible to changes in both my personal as well as in my professional life. That is why I now support people who also know that they too need to create multiple sources of income, which is why I created the90daystartup.com. By creating those additional sources of income you actually create stability of your own making. A day and a time will come when uncertainty will become inconvenient. When that time comes, I will be here to help you make the transition to creating an environment where you get to determine when change is necessary. In the meantime, check out my latest video (Is change good) and see my take on how I feel about change and perhaps you will recognize that the time has come for you to make necessary changes as well.
